วันแม่แห่งชาติ 12 สิงหาคม ของทุกปี เป็นวันแม่ ภาษาอังกฤษ คือ Mother Day ซึ่งวันนี้ถือตามวันพระราชสมภพของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง โดยเริ่มมาตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2519 เป็นต้นมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ทั้งนี้ เพื่อให้ลูก ๆ ทุกคนรำลึกถึงพระคุณของแม่

In Thailand, 12th of August is celebrated as the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit (Thai: สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ). As the Queen is also regarded as mother to all Thai people, this day is also celebrated as ‘Mother’s Day’ (วันแม่).
