We shall meet again!
Thai New Year, or SONGKRAN, holidays and celebrations, from 13-15 April, 2020, to be postponed until further notice. New dates have not been announced.
Thailand without SONGKRAN in April is unprecedented. But in a shocking move, the first meeting of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration last month decided that the annual SONGKRAN holidays, April 13-15, should be postponed to later, undisclosed dates.
The decision was mainly to minimize the movement of people both domestically and internationally and to restate the importance of social distancing which is, in all, to help curb the spread of Covid-19.
We’ll see each other again and then we’ll celebrate SONGKRAN like it’s never been celebrated before. We will forget the past and look happily into the future.
Please remain optimistic and always remember, there will be a tomorrow where we will all meet again to have fun together and celebrate SONGKRAN, the most beautiful festival in the world.
